Simone ("we", "our", or "us") provides a care-coordination platform for senior living facilities and their residents. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Simone mobile app or staff portal (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name and email address provided at registration.
- Voice input: audio recordings made when a resident uses the voice assistant feature. Audio is processed in real time to generate a response and is not stored after processing.
- Care information: room assignments, schedule, meal preferences, and care notes entered by facility staff on behalf of residents.
- Usage data: log data such as feature usage, timestamps, and error reports, used to improve the Services.
- Push notification tokens: device tokens used solely to deliver care notifications to your device.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate and personalize the Simone care assistant experience for residents.
- To enable facility staff to coordinate and communicate resident care.
- To send push notifications for care updates, messages, and alerts.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Within your facility: care information is shared between residents and the authorized staff of the facility they are assigned to.
- Service providers: we use third-party providers (cloud infrastructure, notification delivery, AI processing) solely to operate the Services. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and care data for as long as your facility account is active. Voice audio is not stored after processing. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
5. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
